Carleton University and Campus Safety Services are aware of the reported incidents taking place on campus involving individuals approaching members of the community asking to speak to them about a female God or ‘God the Mother’. The Ottawa Police Services’ Human Trafficking Unit has advised the university that there is no evidence that this is linked to sex trafficking as reported through social media.
If you are approached on campus and feel uncomfortable please keep walking and contact the Campus Safety Services Emergency Assistance Line at ext. 4444 from any on-campus phone or 613-520-4444.
Students who are on campus late or alone can call the Foot Patrol for a Safe Walk or to use the Walk and Talk service.
All members of the Carleton community who are working on campus during the quiet hours of the evening, weekends and statutory holidays can also contact Campus Safety Services to register for the After Hours Program. 613-520-3612
