Provide Your Input in the Search for a New University Librarian

Jan. 24, 2020

To All Members of the Carleton Community,

I am pleased to announce that the Advisory Search Committee for the University Librarian has been formed. A list of committee members is available on the Office of the Provost and Vice-President (Academic) website.

Consultation with the campus community is an integral part of this comprehensive search. The committee invites you to offer information through a brief online questionnaire by Friday, February 7, 2020. The inclusion of your name is optional and our executive search consultant, Laverne Smith & Associates Inc., will hold all responses in strict confidence.

This is an important matter for the university. Your input is critical and will help to inform the search process. I would ask you to take the few minutes required to help us with this request.

We will continue to provide updates as the search progresses. All updates will be posted on Carleton’s Academic Executive Search website.

Sincerely,

Jerry Tomberlin
Chair, University Librarian Advisory Search Committee
Provost and Vice-President (Academic)
