ELIZABETH LEBLANC – Women’s Basketball

Carleton Ravens women’s basketball player Elizabeth Leblanc is this week’s TSN 1200 Female Athlete of the Week.
Leblanc, a six-foot forward, filled the stat sheet in Carleton’s back-to-back wins over Waterloo (Nov. 10) and Laurier (Nov. 11) on the weekend.
In the Ravens’ 76-39 victory over the Warriors, the fourth-year veteran tallied 11 points, six rebounds and four assists. The following evening against Laurier, Leblanc registered a game-high 15 points to go with six rebounds, three assists and two blocks in a 77-50 win over the Golden Hawks.
Through four games this season, Leblanc is averaging 13.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists per contest.
Elizabeth, a native on London, ON, is pursuing a Psychology degree at Carleton.

FRANCOIS BRASSARD – Men’s Hockey
Goaltender – 2nd Year – Gatineau, QC
Carleton Ravens men’s hockey player Francois Brassard is this week’s TSN 1200 Male Athlete of the Week.
Brassard, a second-year goaltender, had a pair of stellar performances in Carleton’s two road wins over the uOttawa Gee-Gees (Nov. 10) and Queen’s Gaels (Nov. 11).
The sophomore netminder recorded 40 saves in a 4-2 decision over the cross-town rival Gee-Gees before adding another 33 saves in his team’s 4-1 victory against Queen’s.
Brassard, a 2012 draft pick of the Ottawa Senators, owns a 2.33 goals against average and a .924 save percentage in eight appearances this season.
Francois, a native of Gatineau, QC, is studying Psychology at Carleton.
